The HIV community are the key driver of this programme of research. Patients, public and community HIV groups are involved in the design, delivery and dissemination of all aspects of the research.
Community members are included in the core team for all studies in the programme and budget is included within the grant to support this. A PPI Advisory Group has been established to input into all research aspects to ensure it is ethical, relevant and acceptable from a public perspective. The Advisory Group includes PPI representatives from community organizations, including the UK CAB and the Changing Perceptions community organization.
Alex Sparrowhawk from Terrence Higgins Trust and UK-CAB leads the PPI work.
